Sebring GT fronted Mk I Midget: 774 XKL

Sadly this project car is believed to have been recently broken, although the front may still be available for sale.

The former owner described the car as follows:

"1963 MG Midget sports complete car for spares or re shell. This was used at some point as a hill climb sprint car and as such has been modified. This would be ideal for a re shell as is very rusty. I have no history and no spec so there may well be some choice period parts within - just never had the time to get in to it and strip it down. As far as I know the 1098 cc engine was rebuilt in 1990 to very high standard with very few miles since. Close ratio straight cut gearbox, oil cooler, flat top hepolite pistons, thermostatic fan, balanced bottom end."

We can put you in touch with the owner by email.

Please note that the Register has no connection to the vendor, and has not inspected the car and has no first hand knowledge of it - as ever buyer beware, etc

We would observe that the front looks like it is made from uncoloured fibreglass, and in conjunction with the cold air duct being sealed off, this would indicate it being a later Fibresports manufactured version - the radiator duct box has also been cut away to accomodate an oil cooler.
