Welch turbo midget

Bonneted Mk III Midget: DVK 963K

This very pretty car belongs to Bob Welch and is a 1971 Mk III Midget. It was fitted with a Sebring GT front in late 2006 which Bob restored himself. From the interior of the bonnet prior to respray, it would appear to have clear fibreglass which would indicate a likely Fibresports origin. The bonnet hides an A-series turbo engine of Bob's own construction which is the reason for the air vents, and the air intake has a neat customised grill of Bob's own design.
