Bonneted Mk II Sprite: HSA 964

This car belongs to Tony Young in Victoria, Australia, and has been in his ownership for some time. John Shepherdson of the Lenham Spridget Register contacted us about it:

"I recently went to a Historic Race meeting at Phillip Island.

The AHSDC (Austin Healey Sprite Driver's Club), of which I am a member, had a display of a few cars and I have attached some photos of one of them.

It is a Mk2 Sprite and it belongs to Tony Young. Tony has had the car for many years. The bonnet is one that was locally produced after a mould was taken from a bonnet that Ray English imported.

Tony is happy for the car to appear on the web-site, if you wish."

Many thanks to John for his words and photos. Note that in the interiot shot, we can see that when the mould was taken for Aussie production, they did away with the side cold air vent coming off the air box.
