Triumph Spitfire Mk III Sebring GT Hardtop

Gary Saunders owns this very rare Sebring GT hardtop for the Mk III Spitfire. He says:

"Hi there. I was wondering if you would be interested in my rare pre 1973 W&P hard top that I have just fitted to my Mark 3 Spitfire. I believe a fellow member of the TSSC has advised you of this one as it was the one I had stuck behind my shed for the past 5 years. It has most of the original brackets along with the fuel filler pipe and rear parcel shelf. I have recently had it repainted to match the body work of my car...

Whilst  the boot isnt as original a look, I dont think it looks too bad. The car is not concours and is used everyday, and therfore i like a bit of poetic licence. The car is a standard Mark 3 without overdrive and was purchased off of ebay back in 2004. Luckily the hard top came with the car and all the fittings. Unfotunately the headlining had beeen used as nesting by mice which had taken up residence under the petrol tank. The hard top was originally red, the same colour as the car when i purchased it. I think the lines of the hardtop really add to the original lines of the car ... I have covered the rear vent holes to try and prevent water entering as you can see on some of the pictures

I would be grateful if you could add my car to the register. I think the car looks great and wish that i had fitted it ages ago."

Many thanks to Gary for his photos and text.
