The Kenyon Lotus 6 Streamliner / XPAG Special

The 1953 Kenyon / W&P Lotus 6 Special with MG XPAG engine

This special bodied car is curently owned by Jack Taylor who has just spent a substantial amount of time and elbow grease cleaning up the beautiful aluminium bodywork after a long period of neglect. This car is known in both Lotus and MG circles as a W&P special given that it is a special bodied Lotus 6 and also has a bored out 1500 cc MG XPAG engine which brings it into the category of an XPAG Special for MG Car Club purposes.

Williams and Pritchard built the special aluminum body in 1953 to the original owners' (the Kenyons) order as a lightweight racer body, not even making provision for lights, which were added at a later date.

Many thanks to Jack for discussing his car with the Registrar at the 2008 Le Mans Classic.
